Jamie Hanley

Jamie Hanley is Head of Client Relations and a personal injury lawyer who has acted for a very diverse range of clients, from victims of the Selby Rail crash to the families of those killed in workplace accidents, and from those injured by asbestos to the victims of violent crime. He has pursued claims across many different sectors, including the passenger transport and rail sectors, construction and engineering sectors, the education and finance sectors, the not for profit and local government sectors and also for a number of high profile members of the entertainment sector.

Jamie is very active in the wider Labour Movement. He is hoping to win his home seat of Pudsey back for Labour at the 2015 General Election. He has represented the Labour Party at local, regional and national levels, and has worked internationally including leading policy development work in Serbia and as the UK representative accompanying President Jimmy Carter to oversee the Palestinian Presidential elections.

He is a committed and active member of Unite, both as a local Branch chair and sitting on regional and national committees.

Jamie is a fierce defender of workplace rights. His many articles and commentaries have been published in regional, national and Trade Union press on issues, ranging from fighting for justice for asbestos victims, to the importance of maintaining high health & safety standards. He has also voiced his views on the shameful erosion of workplace rights under the Coalition Government to the importance of the link between Trade Unions and the Labour Party.
